28 - Two months til I see mommy and papa for the first time =)

20 - Dr's appt

06 - Dr.'s appt the usual: weigh mommy and me, check pee, check blood pressure, check my heart rate, and go over questions, comments, concerns, etc. Dr. Bovone said that mommy's blood test was normal iron and sugar levels (so no cause for concern over anemia or gestational diabetes) Since mommy and I are 28 weeks along today, we have to see Dr. Bovone every 2 weeks now. It's getting closer and closer!

April

28 - Boy oh boy...three months to go =)

22 - results normal! a woo-hoo!

moving Papa was saying good night to me, yes, through his microphone (mommy's belly buton). I let him know that I heard him by kicking him in the nose. He was so shocked and happy that I responded to his voice =)

18 - update By now, my home (mommy's uterus) is about the size of a soccer ball and i am about 8 inches long, 1.5 pounds. It's getting more and more cramped in here which is why mommy can feel me move around a lot more.

17 - Dr's appt just the usual. They checked mommy's pee and blood pressure and my heart rate. They drew blood from mommy again to check if she has gestational diabetes. She had to drink this sugar water stuff (tastes like orange soda) in 5 minutes but it only took her 10 seconds. Then after an hour they drew blood. Only 2 vials today though and they didn't miss this time =)

11-15 Road Trip mommy, papa, auntie jenn, uncle sam, cousin Isabelle, and I visited Lola Nancy and Grampa Mike in San Diego

09 - a scene from Alien mommy SAW me moving around in her. She was lying down and started to feel me move. When she looked down at her tummy, I was making her tummy move up, down, left, right, etc. She tried to get it on camera but I got camera shy

05 - Papa felt me moving this morning when we were lying in bed, papa put his hand on mommy's tummy and started talking to him. I let him know that I heard him by moving around so he could feel me

02 - Joke of the Day: One day shortly after the birth of their new baby, mama had to go out to do some errands. So proud papa stayed home to watch his wonderful new son. Soon after mama left, the baby started to cry. Papa did everything he could think of but the baby wouldn't stop crying. Finally, papa got so worried he decided to take the infant to the doctor. After the doctor listened to papa and all that he had done to get the baby to stop crying, the doctor began to examine the baby's ears, chest and then down to the diaper area. When he undid the diaper, he found that the diaper was indeed full. "Here's the problem", the Dr. said, "He needs a change." Papa was very perplexed, "But the diaper package says it is good for up to 10 lbs.!"

March

28 - Four months until I see the sky for the first time

27 - Quickening explained one of papa's co-workers explained why I am so active at night. She explained that mommy's activities throughout the day rock me to sleep. So by the time it's mommy's turn to rest, it's my time to play. They thought this bit of info was neato-bandito when they found out!

21-24 Vegas Baby! Happy Birthday Mommy! We're gonna hit up all the buffets!

17 - Quickening OH MAN! I am one active kiddo! Ever since this day mommy has been feeling me tossing and turning like crazy but I don't hurt her. I usually throw a fit at night, after about 9pm. They think I'm trying to bug mommy to get to sleep.

13 - Results got the results for mommy's blood tests back...negative =)

04 - Ultrasound 3 the tech took one look between my legs and said "Oh yeah! It's definitely a boy!"

February

28 - Five more months =)

Ultrasound 2 They snapped a shot of me sucking my thumb and kicking like crazy, did u see the pic up there? They also took 5 vials of mommy's blood to do tests. The first try on her right arm, they missed! I was surprised mommy didn't pass out.

21 - First time mommy felt me move! It was amazing! We were up really late cuz we watched Cirque du Soleil (mommy is never up past 10 cuz all she does is work, feed me & sleep). She was lying down and she felt me doing flips inside. She thought I was just trying to tell her to go to sleep.

28 - Six months to go =)

17 - Told mommy's family

Telling mommy's family was funny! Lola Maggie broke the news to everyone by saying that she was getting married [everyone laughed] because "I am pregnant" [some more laughter]. So everyone was gathered around her wondering what the heck was going on. She finally said, "I am two months a great-grandmother." Everyone looked around confused until Lolo Boysie said, "Jen got knocked up and Roman (my 2 year old uncle) is going to be an uncle." Everyone was in shock but congratulated mommy and papa for this blessing. We didn't even notice that Uncle Roman ended up drinking someone's wine. When he downed it, he got a yuck look on his face and started to wipe the taste off his tongue. When they all calmed down they asked my parents about marriage. They explained that they are not going to get married just because they are having a baby: they gotta put all their love and attention into me =). They all turned to Lolo Boysie expecting anger. But he let them know that he was OK with it. "She has finished school and we finished our job. After graduating, we just let her spread her wings and fly. We just didn't mean for her to spread her legs too."

16 - Told Great-Lola Maggie When we told mommy's Lola, she was extremely happy since she's wanted a great grandchild for awhile. She just loves papa and knows he's a great guy for mommy..

15 - Told Lolo Boysie and Lola Lorna

When we told mommy's parents they were really shocked since mommy and papa are not married. After about 10 minutes of silence, they finally congratulated us. They were not mad at all, which surprised us! They said that mommy was mature enough - she has finished school, is now a working, responsible adult. We were all really happy to have their love and support.

14 - Worst morning sickness ever! Overall, mommy's pregnancy has been going great. Not much morning sickness or cravings and I wouldn't bug her too much. Once in awhile I'd give her a headache or nausea spell for about 5-20 minutes. But this day was different. Mommy left work early cuz I was making her feel bad. On the 40 mile drive home, she felt like yacking so she emptied her purse so she would have a place to yack, just in case (but she didn't). We got home and she put the garbage can next to the bed and just knocked out. She woke up feeling better and ate dinner and took a shower. Before she made it to the shower we ended up yacking our dinner. After our shower, we crawled back into bed with chills and an even bigger headache. She got the feeling again and just leaned over the side of the bed and into the garbage cuz she couldn't even make it to the bathroom. I made poor mommy sick and papa is so mean...he took a picture:

Papa felt bad and tried to make mommy feel better =)

28 - I am about seven months from taking my first breath

25 - Told Lolo Fred and Lola Julie We gave them a gift to open: baby clothes. They opened it up and were excited to know that auntie jenn was pregnant. We told them that wasn't all the news. They saw two sets of clothes so they guessed that she was having twins. When they couldn't figure it out, we told them that mommy was pregnant too. They were shocked! They took off their jackets cuz they got hot. We all celebrated our new additions to the family.

13 - Told Auntie Jenn (papa's sis) auntie jenn called us up saying she was pregnant. papa told her, "Guess what, Nina is too!"

November

28 - I am approximately eight months away from entering your world

Mommy and papa found out early December that they were going to have a baby and it shocked them both. They didn't tell anyone at first because one: the possibility of miscarriage is high in the first trimester. And two: Lolo Boysie and "Mama" (Lola Lorna) were going to the PI for awhile so we didn't want to worry them. They wanted to make sure that the most important people in their lives would be the first to know!

It was really funny to hide it from everyone. When mommy and papa would go out to party, mommy would either lie and say that she dropped or she'd pass the drinks to papa when no one was looking. For Auntie Judy's birthday they all went out clubbing in the city. Papa would finish his drink then switch the empty cup with mommy when no one was looking. On papa's birthday they all drank up at mommy's. They all took shots together but papa would give mommy a dark, empty shot glass so one saw that she was drinking air.
